Nona the Erratic
Abu Saree sends his daughter Naima to work as a servant in Cairo to help him with life expenses. She educates herself by watching elementary school lessons from the kitchen window, so she outperforms the house owner's son, who, as a result, closes the window to prevent her from studying.
